Jean Shephard is a master of wit. We have "A Christmas Story" on
video, and tapes of Shephard's Pie (a compilation from his radio show
story telling days) I have all of his novels. A favorite title of
mine is "In God we Trust, all Others Pay Cash".
We are also a no t.v. home and have been for at least 10 years.
